Thursdays from about 2-4 pm. Work with 8-10 other volunteers to unload and store 2-3 trailer/light trucks worth of food stuffs. Requires lifting 25-35 lb. boxes. Also need people with a pick up truck/tow hitch to pull trailers of food from Liberty, SC.
Grocery & Box Pick up Volunteers
Every morning from 8-10 am, go to Walmart, or Food Lion and Bi-Lo and Publix in Clemson. Pick up the food they donate and take the food to the Food Pantry. At the Food Pantry, unload, weigh, mark and store it. We also need people to go to local grocery stores and pick up empty boxes for us to use. This can be done at other times of the day.
We won’t ask you to “ask for money”, but we do need people to meet with and/or coordinate with various local businesses who want to help us either with food drives or funds.
